Athena is a well respected licensed Interior Designer. Since 1994, Athena has been specializing in residential and commercial Interior Design. Her notable skill in conceptual design has earned her a reputation as one of Naples's premiere Interior Designers. Her work has earned her notable design awards and has been featured in many residential home & design publications.
Born and raised a daughter of a general contractor in historic town of Niagara-on-the-lake,Ontario, Athena has always had an affinity for elements of structural design and aesthetics. Athena graduated from the International Academy of Design, in Toronto Canada with a degree in Interior Design.
Athena began her career in Naples Florida as a design assistant on some of the largest, prestigous properties in Collier County. Athena was asked to be the head designer of a prominent multi million dollar residential and commercial developer who was familiar with Athena's talent. Once the developers' projects came to completion, and Athena's talents were unveiled, she quickly rose to prominence as a much sought after Interior Designer. Athena and her husband JR decided to launch their own Interior Design Studio in 2001, which continues today to be a successful endeavor, with all of her clients stemming from word of mouth referals.
Athena's passion for Interior Design is reflected in the beautiful surroundings that she creates. An ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and her clients have earned Athena a well deserved reputation as a true professional.

JR joined the company after many years of working in Collier County's prominent car dealership as a Porsche service manager. He is knowledgable in customer service and follow up. He carries through with job site punch out and supporting the designers and clients with subcontractor coordination. JR also takes care of the business accounts payable along with our cabinetry division estimating. He coordinates installers and our associated subcontractors to make sure the cabinetry installation runs smoothly.
Born and raised also to the son of two entrepeneur in a historic town of Havana Illinois, JR was taught the meaning of honesty, hardwork and the meaning of an honest handshake. JR recieved an Assocate degree at the Western Illinois University before travelling down to Naples on a summer break. That trip became JR's change of fate. He was hired at the Porsche dealership and stayed with them for nearly 10 years. After some encouragement from JR's family, to try their own thing, Athena began Odyssey Interior Design. It was not long after that he joined Odyssey and they turned a small idea into a productive family business.
JR continues with our clients after the design is complete with customer support, in some cases with home watch to coordinating the many subcontractors needed to maintain and take care of their large beautiful homes, well after the project is done. This relationship with some of our clients has continued for years... making him end up the one with all the thank-you notes in our office!

Katrina Hopkins Katrina joined Odyssey in 2009 and is active as a head designer, working directly with her clients. She has been licensed with the Board of Architecture and Interior Design since 2001. She came from Michigan in 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University and several years experience working as a design assistant in commercial and high-end residential firms in Troy and West Bloomfield, continuing her career here in Southwest Florida. Her commitment to a high standard of excellence in personal service and quality design has been recognized by the satisfaction of the clientele she serves as well as by the local and national awards, earning her a reputation for creativity, strong organizational skills and great attention to detail. Her talents are highly respected and her close relationships with her clients have been sought after and proven by repeated referrals, both locally and out of state.
